Dale wasn't 'just' an astute business man, But a real people person, with a huge radiate smile whenever you greeted him. And, a twinkle in his bright blue eyes, made you wonder what he was thinking...Never an unkind word did he speak - or gesture did he show... That was the Dale Rector I know.

Dale has been taken on Angels Wings, where there is no more pain or sorrow...God bless you June.... May HE give you strength throughout your life.....Until you meet again!!

8 pages of heartfelt sympathy I've just read - sincere appreciation for the kindest of men, who was my father-in-law for 25 years. What to add? Maybe just that Dale taught me to embrace ALL of life. When he went into the office early every Saturday morning, he would face a huge mound of papers on his desk without flinching. I asked once, how he kept from feeling overwhelmed by so many problems. "Life IS problems, he answered, "There are always more. Solving problems is what I do all day. I LOVE this work!" Maybe that partly explains the twinkling smile so many refer to.
Also, Dale walked his talk. No wonder he was a Rotary governor. He lived by that admonition about checking before you speak. Certainly if it wasn't true and kind, he didn't say it.
But I suppose I'll remember him best as the ideal grandfather. Thank you, Dale, I love you still. And you too, June. I wish you swift healing of the emptiness you doubtless now feel.
