My first encounter with Dale Rector was in 1994 when I was researching the book, Signs of Success, which chronicled his life, pioneering spirit and invention of the 100% commission concept. But I felt that I already knew who he was through my interactions with the aggressive, professional sales executives that carried his flag. I have always cherished my friendship with Dale, June, Rich, Robyn, Katy and his entire family. Dale and June have even babysat my children, providing them with fond memories of the remarkable couple as well. Dale will forever live in my memory. Who could not be captivated by his sincere smile and his trademark clasped-hands-over-head "victory" sign? A true fighter and an amazing man. While we have always looked up to Dale, we only need to look up to the heavens to keep Dale in our hearts.

My heart goes out to the entire extended Rector family. I was devastated to learn of Dale's passing. No matter how long and how great the life, it's never long enough for those of us left behind. I didn't know Dale as well as my Mother Gene Gusick did, who passed November 2003. She always had the utmost respect for Dale, and joined Realty Executives after owning her own successful business in order to get back in the trenches under true visionary ideas of Dales and loved it until she retired at age 80. We knew Dale as a shrewd businessman yet always remembering our names and welcoming us with his warm hand and smile whenever we met. His vision and most of all his kindness will be remembered. My first meeting with Dale Rector was in April, 1978. His wise counsel and leadership was much needed in my opening the first branch office of Realty Executives in Chandler.
When tragedy hit my family in 1980 and 2000, Dale was there, supportive as ever. Not only was he an excellent business man, but most importantly, Dale Rector was a good, kind, loving human being who really cared about other people.
