June, Rich and the Rector Family,

I was greatly saddened when I recieved the e-mail from John Foltz about the passing of Dale Rector. Dale was a gentleman and a gentle man but also a man with great vision who built the greatest real estate company in the world. Despite that he always greeted me warmly by my name like an old friend which to me he was and with that wonderfull smile. My fondest and most unforgetable memory of Dale was my orientation in 1982 in Dale's office. He explained to the the five or six of us new agents why he started Realty Executives and the philosophy of the company that agent was a customer of Realty Executives. It was a meeting I never forgot. Dale was truly a unique and special human being and he will be missed by all of us. Your loss is my loss as well and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Being relatively new to Real Estate, and a new member of the Realty Executives family I only know Dale by reputation and legacy.

In my last business endeavor (the Samaritan program) I had a company creed which was "to help as many people as I can, in as high a quality way as I can, treating them each with unconditional positive regard". When I finished my apprenticeship as a sales associate and became a broker, I researched many franchises. Dale's concept of doing business came the closest to meeting that standard of service.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to meet Dale and personally thank him for this opportunity. May he live on in all of those who carry his concept into the future. My condolences and sympathy to all the family and associates who were close with him.

I am fortunate to have been part of the best company in real estate ever designed! I am fortunate to have actually seen and participated in the driven dedication to his objective to create this company for the past many years. He has left a wonderful reminder that fairness and committment to quality is a viable basis for a business and I respect him for his vision and committment.

Greetings to june,Dale Jr and the family.

Our prayers are with you this time of loss.

June,Dale after I had completed my 20 years of service with the old Valley national bank in Glendale as a branch manager I went to work for Oxford First Leasing on Camleback in June of 1972 one year after leaving the bank.

Leasing was new in those days and I wanted to get in on the ground floor.

One day a man walked into my office and introduced himself as Dale Rector saying I own a realestate company and i'm thinking of leasing a car.

I leased your husband and dad his first auto and I suspect he leased several more from there after I left two years later when Lois and I started our business consulting firm working with small business folks like I used to while a banker and eventually taught business subjects at Rio Salado CC starting in 1978 for the next ten years when I retired the first time after 38 years.

He was a good man, an honest man and one who set the standards for the realestate industry worldwide.

It was our(my) pleasuer to have called him friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Rector family at this very difficult time. Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Dale a few times over the years at conventions, it was easy to see his love for his family and his extended family of Executives, always making time to say hello and offering a welcoming smile. May you find peace in the treasured memories held within your hearts. God Bless.
