As people cross the path of our lives, some go softly, and visit briefly, and some linger there and leave an indelible print on our spirit. Dale achieved what many of us aspire to achieve - he left a legacy - to his family, to his friends, to his community and to his chosen profession. I respect his accomplishments, his vision, his humilty, and his wisdom. I will miss the sincerity and warmth of his wonderful smile. His remarkable soul and spirit has enriched us all. Thank you Dale, for walking on our path for a while, for being such a great example and giving us direction to help stay the course.

Philip & Charlene Pletz (Mesa, AZ) I know the fellow associates, including myself, of the original TEMPE Realty Executives Office, cannot/could not express in words the gratitude to Dale for his insight and courage to create the first successful 100% real estate company. He was the catalyst that launched the successful real estate careers of untold number of professionals across the country. Additionally, many don't know, but REMAX would not be in existence today if it wasn't for Dale and his sharing of knowledge that made it possible. Some of my greatest memories of being in the real estate business for over 34 years, are the ones with that Tempe Realty Executives office. We had Dale's mentality that the business should be fun. I remember the great office parties, the company monthly meetings at the Beefeaters, Christmas parties at the Biltmore and awards banquets. I remember hauling the Tempe associates in an "old green bus" to your personal residence for a holiday party when each office was invited. We all thought the Paradise Valley police would stop us and order us out of the neighborhood thinking we just came from picking watermelons! June, you and Dale were always such gracious hosts to everyone. You and Dale were such a perfect couple. We often remarked, the consideration and respect that you had for each other. That quality certainly carried over to how the Realty Executive associates were treated that was the cornerstone Dale used to build the first and best 100% real estate company. I know I share the gratitude of thousands of now and past Realty Executive associates who are forever indebted to Dale and his family for the opportunity that he created for us. Everyone who ever met Dale knew and felt the professionalism and integrity he brought to the industry. Rich, you have a great responsibility to carry on your dad's legacy. Everyone will mourn his departure but we are all enriched and blessed for having known and associated with him. Our prayers and thanks are with him and the family.
Carlos Diaz (Dino Melendez Realty) Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rector Family,my condolences.
Angie Shedrick (Central Office, Phoenix, AZ) My thoughts and prayers are with the Rector family during your time of sorrow.
Barbara Bartlett (Vancouver, WA) To the Rector family..what a loss. To the real estate community....what a wonderful pioneer who made many of us feel like we were the most important agents in the world. I still remember his smiles and I have been away from Phoenix for over a decade. Dale will never be forgotten; he lives through his 100% concept and all the positive agents that were produced by his caring. He is still there caring for all.
Joanne DiBenedetto (Pinnacle Peak Office) I moved to Arizona in 1992 and decided to sell Real Estate. I had my license in Boston for 9 years and was not aware of the 100% Company. My Daughter was in Her freshman year at Dartmouth and my Son was in his first year of Chiropractic College. My husband was a builder and the market fell out in Boston. We had to find a pocket and Phoenix and Scottsday was it. I would like to thank Dale Rector for being the founder of such a wonderful concept. I am grateful for his innovative thinking and making it possible for me to allow my Children to finish school with no financial dept. My prayers and deepest sympathy and gratitude.

Karen Burda (Forum - Scottsdale) Because of Dale and his vision in me 22 years ago to "believe in myself" I became the Realtor I am today. I was actually interviewed and hired by Dale Rector, and will miss his contagious smile and belief in poeple. My thoughts are with the entire Rector family. I have lost a true mentor and friend.
I am new to the company and am very sorry not to have met Dale personally. Everything anyone has ever said about Dale has been that he was a positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and thoughtful person. His son, Rich, certainly carries on the family tradition and Dale's vision for the wonderful company of Realty Executives. He will be missed, but his memory will live on.

You are the rock it was all built upon.

Dale's voice always made me smile as he would say, kiddo, how are you? He was one of the most gentle, caring, and honest men I've known. My heart goes out to the entire Rector family. Dale, I celebrate you and thank you for always being so proud of me! Love Debbie
Cindy DeFelice (Fulmer, Bucks, United Kingdom) My deepest sympathy to the Rector family. I worked for Realty Executives from 1989 to 1996. The Rector family and the Realty Executives family were a very positive influence in my life and I will always have fond memories of Dale. His caring and giving attitude was shared with everyone he met. June, Rich, Gary and the rest of the family-I wish you all peace and comfort. How lucky we all are to have known Dale.
Ray and Amy Slaybaugh (North Scottsdale Office) Almost 30 years ago, I joined Realty Executives after meeting and listening to a man with some new and exciting ideas. He helped me to grow as a realtor, a businessman, a concerned and involved citizen. His name was Dale Rector and I will be forever grateful to him and will forever feel privileged to have known him. Our thoughts go out to June and the family. Ray and Amy Slaybaugh
June, Rich, Gary and the Rector Family....A goal of mine while raising 2 boys alone was to surround them with positive male role models. Over the years the boys were shown an incredible work ethic, coupled with unyeilding integrity and obviously, generosity. The one remark however, that sums up what Dale meant to us was when Blake said, "I can't understand why he does so much for us" and Richard told him, "because that's just Dale." My family is so fortunate to have had Dale in our lives and my boys will be better men for having known him. God bless your family, Lisa
Carroll Family (New Jersey) With all our love.
Emilce De Santi (Salt Lake City) Deepest sympathy and prayers to Rector's Family, Dale Rector will always be remember.
Jared Blank (Salt Lake City, UT) Best wishes to the Rector family.
Christine Chase (Realty Executives of Illinois) Our heartfelt condolences to the Rector family, and to the entire "family" of Realty Executives. Dale was a visionary of the greatest sort - a man who believed there was a better way, and we are all the beneficiaries of his dedication to that belief. He will be missed and remembered.
I want to send my sympathies to the entire Rector family. During my five years at the administrative office, Dale always took the time to smile and say hi to each employee every time he stopped in. My greatest compliment to him is that his positive attitude, respect for people and humble attitude "trickled down" through his sons Rich and Gary, John Foltz etc., making the office such a positive and pleasant place to work. He will live on in the many lives he touched.
